About Gem
Gem is a stuffed greyhound ambassador who is travelling the globe educating the public and promoting the adoption of retired racing greyhounds. This promotion allows adoption groups, individuals, families or businesses to foster Gem for a period of two weeks in their home or office. Gem is coming out of retirement!! She was so tired of sitting around watching TV and golfing every Thursday. She is once again hitting the rails under the direction of Erin Tedford, in association with the Friends of Retired Greyhounds Group in Colorado, to promote the adoption of retired racing greyhounds. Gem and Erin are old friends…see the picture of Erin below in her classroom with Gem back in 1998.
