Instructions on how to foster Gem:
1. Send an e-mail to:
After checking the schedule – indicate what dates you would like Gem to visit your home. Gem will be forwarded to you by the current foster family on either the 1st or the 15th of the month by 3 day priority post.
2. Take lots of digital pictures of Gem in your home and in public. If possible send pictures to above email address.
3. Have lots of fun with Gem! Use Gem to promote greyhound adoption!
4. Forward your journal entries for inclusion in the blog!
5. Send Gem onto the next foster family on the designated date – this will be either the 1st or the 15th of the month.
You must be prepared to send Gem promptly to her next destination on either the 1st or 15th of the month (via 3 day priority mail!) to avoid disappointing the next foster family. Please remember that people may have booked Gem to attend a special event in the area!
